Many of us have spiritual questions. We want to know how to live life more fully, how to connect with God, and how to love others more deeply and authentically. Jesus lived a life marked by a love for God and a compassion for people, and we at Christ Church try to live and worship in a way that reflects this.
We are planning for the day when we can gather together on Sunday to celebrate in person as a community of faith and give thanks to God. Until that time, let us be ever mindful to reach out to family and friends so that they continue to experience God’s love. We have resumed our BCP Communion Service on Thursdays at 11 a.m. starting June 24, 2021, the Holy Day Celebrating the Birth of St. John the Baptist.
When it is possible to resume Sunday services in person, we will once again have two Sunday services. The first one is an 8 a.m. Holy Communion. This is a quiet and contemplative service during which we reflect on our life in Christ and receive nourishment in the Eucharist.
Our second service is a 10 a.m. Holy Eucharist. This is a lively service during which our choir prepares hymns and anthems which aid and inspire our worship.
We also have a thriving church community that plans various events, services, and celebrations. Head over to our community page to explore the many opportunities available to join us throughout the year.
What to Expect
Worship is at the centre of life at Christ Church. Whether you are a lifelong Anglican, from another faith tradition, exploring your faith, or just visiting, you are welcome to join us in worship.
As an Anglican Church, our Sunday worship services follow participatory liturgies while also including hymns, prayers, and communion. Our 8 a.m. service is a quiet service from the Book of Common Prayer, while our 10 a.m. service is a lively service which uses the liturgy of the Book of Alternative Services.
Every week we have priests who inspire us with engaging sermons; as well as the opportunity for children to join Rev. Sue at the front of the church for a song or a science experiment. We also celebrate Jesus in the breaking of the bread each Sunday. We take every service here at Christ Church as an opportunity to reflect, to share, and to focus and fill ourselves up for the week ahead.
While children are always welcome in our services, we also have a regularly staffed nursery, as well as a lively Sunday School program to which children are invited at the end of the Children’s Talk.
Please consider staying after the service for ‘Ron’s Brew’ coffee, enjoying the spirit of fellowship and community as you catch up with neighbours and friends (old and new)!
Here at Christ Church we embrace the opportunity to meet new people, sharing our lives and our faith in an inclusive and welcoming space.
We don’t believe that dress and spirituality are connected. As such, you’ll see more jeans than suits or even dress shirts. We encourage you to come as you are.
What’s Available for Children?
We care passionately about introducing children to the love of God in Jesus Christ, and so we extend a warm welcome to any families interested in exploring our growing children’s ministry. We currently have a group of children ranging from kindergarten to grade 6 being served, with our youngest members (0-3) being staffed by our volunteer nursery staff.
Sunday Services With Children and Babies Every Sunday during the 10 a.m. service, Children’s Ministry provides engaging programming that gives kids from kindergarten to grade 6 the opportunity to know, love, and follow Jesus, while having fun and making friends. Children are invited to attend either Sunday School or the nursery after the Children’s Talk has concluded. The Sunday School gathers in the large classroom downstairs for a bible story, games, a craft, prayers and play. After that the kids will return to service — just in time to join their families for communion.
Babies and children are always welcome to stay with their guardians during service, and guardians are encouraged to join us in our Sunday School to see what it’s all about.

Spending time with us isn’t limited to Sundays. We also plan various family events and intergenerational worship services throughout the year. Watch for them in our bulletin or in our monthly email, and make sure to join us!
