Youth and Young Adult Ministry

Youth and Young Adult Ministry

The Youth & Young Adult Ministry at Christ Church is open to all young adults of the congregation (and those who are young at heart)! Focused on mentoring young adults and youth in their faith, this ministry encompasses worship on Sundays, events at the church, and building community while we shape the future leaders of our church.

Second Breakfast Club (SBC)

Christ Church is so blessed to be the spiritual home of an amazing group of young adults and youth! Through our programs we strive to engage and grow the faith of these involved individuals as they gather. Through meaningful friendships, study, prayer, and action, youth ministry is about creating a space that our youth can call their own. It’s important that they know they belong, and that they can explore and expand their faith with encouragement and support. This group meets weekly on Sundays and for special events during the week.

Young Adult Group (YAG)

For individuals engaging in post secondary studies, or stepping out into the world for the first time, there are unique questions to how to live in our faith while figuring out their next steps in life. In this group young adults are encouraged to discuss these questions together, building relationships with their peers at Christ Church. Once a month, Ascension House hosts dinner & discipleship, creating a special event for these individuals.

Difficult Conversations

Christ Church has a history of engaging with difficult moral and theological topics in an effort to find truth and seek justice. In 2015 Christ Church hosted a multidisciplinary panel discussion on the topic of death and dying. In the spring of 2017 we undertook a study series on our understanding of marriage and human sexuality.
“One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.” —Psalm 27: 4
