Welcome to Christ Church!
Here at Christ Church we’re a community of ordinary people who want to follow Jesus in our everyday lives. We are families with toddlers, tweens, and teenagers. We are single students and professionals in early, mid, and late career. We are empty-nesters, aunts, and uncles. Some of us have secure employment, while others are un or under employed. We hail from Oliver and Glenora, but also many other parts of Edmonton, Canada, and the world.
We strive to live our faith through our worship, our words, and our works. Sunday mornings we gather together to worship God and to pray for one another and for the world. We share words of blessing and encouragement after church at our coffee hour. And we meet throughout the week to explore opportunities for service and outreach.
We recognize that different ages and stages of life require different ways to worship, so we are glad to have a nursery program staffed with qualified volunteers, an active Sunday school, and an exciting program for our teenagers and young adults.
Following the seasons of the church year we can be found doing Christian Education and discussion, social action and hospitality ministry, and seniors programming and Messy Church for kids and their families. In all of these activities we want to respond to the gospel that commands us to go and proclaim the Good News in Jesus Christ.
In all this, we want to be a hospitable community with open doors; one that welcomes and reflects the open hospitality that God provides to us. We hope that you might find a place to call home here at Christ Church.
You are always welcome with us!
