Canticles Found in Scripture

Please join music director, Joy Berg on Wednesday mornings via zoom for this in-depth study into the Canticles found in Scripture. From The Magificat, to Hannah’s Song, to The ‘Te Deum’, Joy will lead us through an exploration of the prayer, praise and politics found in these ancient songs. All are welcome to participate in this study.  Please email the parish office to register (admin@christchurchedm.ca).

The course begins on October 20th and runs to November 24th.

Join us on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm beginning October 19, 2021!

Rev. Sue will lead this study group exploring themes of beauty, justice, God, Scripture and the Trinity.  The book we will be using is by NT Wright and the format of the evening will include a 15 minute video presentation about the materials by Wright and then a 45 minute discussion and further teaching. Please email the church office (admin@christchurchedm.ca) to sign up.  It is not necessary to purchase or read the book in order to participate in the Study Group but it will surely enrich our conversation if you do!

Here at Christ Church we’re a community of ordinary people who want to follow Jesus in our everyday lives. We are families with toddlers, tweens, and teenagers. We are single students and professionals in early, mid, and late career. We are empty-nesters, aunts, and uncles. Some of us have secure employment, while others are un or under employed. We hail from Oliver and Glenora, but also many other parts of Edmonton, Canada, and the world.

Thursday Holy Communion (BCP) 11 a.m.
