Adult Christian Education

Adult Christian education is an important part of Christ Church’s overall mission to bear witness to the truth of the gospel in the face of an increasingly skeptical and cynical world. For us, reaching out with education serves those ‘inquiring at the temple’, but it is also relevant in the ways in which it deepens our own Christian discipleship. Through education, we engage the hard questions in an atmosphere open to receiving new insight from the Spirit. It is through this exploration of our faith, and the acknowledgement of our own questions, that we grow closer to God and to one another as a community.

Advent and Lenten Studies

The penitential seasons of the church year offer a unique and concentrated opportunity to renew your commitment to prayer and scripture reading. These commitments, while important, can often be put aside in the busyness of life. Here at Christ Church, we gather together for an extra study focused around these seasons, offering a greater accountability and encouragement from your community. This focus can come in the form of a more traditional bible study; but it can also extend to other areas such as reading a book together, walking, or honing our prayer and meditation skills.
