Cake & Creed: A Birthday Bash for the Nicean Creed

The Nicene Creed—also called the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed—turns 1700 this year. That’s a whole lot of candles! Join us November 9 at 4:30 PM in the Parish Hall for Cake & Creed, we will have a panel discussion exploring why Christians say 'We believe,' what the creed says (and doesn't), and how it anchors our everyday lives and our worship each Sunday. Bring your questions and stay for birthday cake. Everyone is welcome. Seekers, skeptics, and the already-convinced are encouraged to attend.
Raise a Glass: Wine Tasting Fundraiser

Christ Church is gearing up to welcome a Syrian family to Canada. They have been waiting in Lebanon for close to eight years and we are hopeful their arrival will be soon. In preparation, our parish needs to raise $80,000 to support them for a year. The good news is that with your generous donations we have raised just over $40,000 already. We need to raise $40,000 more! Please join us on Friday November 21st for an opportunity to learn a bit more about some fabulous wines with a tasting hosted by our own Denise Brisson, owner of Cellar Stock Importers. There will also be a small silent auction, an opportunity to hear more about the family who we are supporting as well as ways you can support their welcome and settlement.
tickets are $40/person and can be purchased by emailing the church office or buying tickets on Sunday morning during coffee hour.
We will have non-alcoholic beverages available for those who wish to join but abstain from alcohol.
